Associate: Mixed or Small Animal Veterinarian

Sage Country Veterinary Service is a mobile mixed animal practice with two fully stocked large animal vet trucks and a mobile small animal van equipped with a surgery suite, radiograph, ultrasound, treatment area, and blood machines. Our practice sees equal amounts of large (beef cows, horses, some sheep, goats, pigs) and small (dogs, cats, occasional pocket pets, poultry) animals. We are currently in the process of building a facility in addition to the mobile services.

As an associate vet, you are provided with your own vet truck (for mixed animal), a four day work week and on-call schedule of one week out of three. Emergency fees go directly to the provider giving you an opportunity to increase your salary on those busy evenings!

Veterinary Assistant or Certified Technician

We are looking for a veterinary assistant, or a certified veterinary technician (CVT) to join our team. The veterinary assistant assists the veterinarian with patient exams, takes care of the everyday needs of patients, and helps maintain the facility, keeping it neat and clean.  

Job Requirements/ Skills/ Physical Demands: An employee in this position must have a sense of caring for animals, have an attitude of learning, be a willing team player, be able to lift approximately 50 pounds, work on feet all day, have computer skills, read, write, and understand English.  Must also possess the ability to follow directions with and without supervision, and be an individual who is service oriented, dedicated, polite, professional, trustworthy, and organized.


This job is assisting the Veterinarian in our mixed animal veterinary practice and boarding facility. Duties include but are not limited to animal restraint, assisting with surgical procedures, preparation and anesthesia monitoring, sterile processing, face to face and telephonic customer care, and other assigned duties. This position requires strong communication skills along with comfort with multiple computerized programs. Weekend hours required.
