“It Is Our Mission at Sage Country Veterinary Service to Provide Compassionate High Quality Care to Harney County and its Neighbors”
Veterinary Assistant or CVT Wanted
Tired of living in the city? Want to live where the sun shines and access to nature is right outside the door? In Burns you will find the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge just 30 miles south of the City on US 205. The 185,000 acres provides a Mecca for bird watchers as it is the habitat for over 250 species of migratory birds.
Another highlight is the Steens Mountain. The mountain, a thirty-mile fault block, consists of five separate vegetation zones of glaciated gorges, lakes and meadows. There are many viewpoints that look into canyons with more than a mile of vertical drop to the valley floor. Besides offering breathtaking scenery, you will find outdoor activities of hiking, fishing, hunting, camping and backpacking.
At Sage Country Veterinary Services, we are excited to be able to provide veterinary services to our community. Our mobile veterinary practice has a home base at 30850 Highway 20 E in Burns, however our RV setup allows us to provide house calls for small animals and farm calls for large animal needs as well as dog and cat boarding! It is our mission to provide compassionate high quality care to the animals of Harney County and its neighbors in rural Oregon. We feel the house call aspect of our practice gives us a unique ability to see animals in their home and be able to provide comprehensive medical advice.
We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our Rural Mixed Animal Practice, in Burns, OR. In this position you must have a sense of caring for animals, have an attitude of learning, be a willing team player, be able to lift approximately 50 pounds, work on feet all day, have computer skills, read, write, and understand English.
